Paul Tero
Paul Tero is Dellium Advisory. He has a quite a breadth of understanding of business, of education and of information technology across a range of industry sectors.
The solid outcomes that Paul has realised have been achieved in the context of a range of industries. The diversity of these economic sectors include education, finance, health, manufacturing, mining and not-for-profit. These outcomes have been delivered here in Australia, but also across the Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.
From a Futures perspective, bringing about fresh appreciation of the strategic challenges being faced.
From a business perspective, long term results have been set in motion though the many and varied board-level governance and performance considerations and decisions. All supported by appropriate levels of information gathering and strategic planning.
From an education perspective, positive benefits have been consistently realised in Australia and internationally in vocational and higher education settings. This value has been added through a range of activities that include development of training and assessment strategies, learning and assessment guides, lesson plans and learning materials.
Paul holds three Masters degrees: Masters in Business Administration (Technology Management), a Masters in International Business and Masters of Strategic Foresight. He also holds a Cert IV in Training and Assessment and is a qualified public speaker. Further, Paul is a Certified Member of the Australian Computer Society (CMACS) and a Member of the Association of Professional Futurists (MAPF). IT Industry qualifications include AWS-CP, ITIL, MCSE, PRINCE2 & TOGAF. His research interest, through the practice-based PhD, is centred on the industries of the future.
At a higher education level the subjects he has delivered are for undergraduate IT (IS Design, Security) and Accounting (Leadership, Strategic Management) degrees. At a vocational level, he delivers subjects as diverse as Cybersecurity, Business Communication, Project Management and IT Networking at a Certificate III through to Advanced Diploma. He has managed the development and delivery of Australian accredited qualifications internationally.

What's in a name:
Dellium is the location of an ancient Greek battle where a flexible battle strategy was first used.
Up until that time, 424BC, battles were fought by opposing masses of heavily-armed troops.
Here, at the Battle of Dellium (which can also be spelt as "Delium" or "Delorium"), General Pagondas, changed the structure of the army’s formation. He reconsidered how best to use his mass of heavily-armed troops. This lead to the use of cavalry, of a reserve force and of the flexible deployment of lightly-armed troops all adapted to the conditions of the battle. He also invented the flamethrower that was used in the following siege.
The historical consequences of this battle are immense. Pagondas’s strategic flexibility influenced Philip II of Macedon in his approach to battle. This in turn was passed onto his son, Alexander the Great whose greatest legacy was the expansion of Greek Civilisation. What we enjoy here in the West: democracy, architecture, mathematics, the arts, history and medicine, are all influenced by the ancient Greeks.
And so, it can be argued, that the long term consequences of that flexible thinking by Pagondas have been quite significant.
